Woman in Red by Krishna Rose is a beautiful historical and spiritual novel about Mary Magdalene. It begins after Jesus’s crucifixion and we follow Mariam, who later becomes a Magdalene after undergoing her initiations.
Fascinating and compelling, this novel is more convincing and actually feels more real than many non-fiction and historical books about Jesus and the Magdalene. However, whilst the first part of the book really flows, the second - particularly the chapters about Mary Magdalene's visit to Heaven - it's slower and in my opinion too long, and this lightly spoils the reading.
The author’s been researching the world’s sacred scriptures for years and her effort has paid off as she created an exquisite work. Plus, several considerations shared by the characters in the book can be applied today too, in these times where people are divided more than ever and unable to dig within and to work on themselves to heal and evolve and make the world a better place.
For those who are fascinated by Mary Magdalene, this book is a pleasant read as well as a great tool for self-development.

Woman in Red di Krishna Rose è un bellissimo romanzo storico e spirituale su Maria Maddalena. La storia comincia subito dopo la crocifissione di Gesù, e seguiamo Mariam, che successivamente diventerà la Maddalena dopo aver ricevuto le sue iniziazioni.
Affascinante e avvincente, questo romanzo è più convincente e quasi più vero di molti saggi e libri storici su Gesù e la Maddalena. Ciononostante, mentre la prima parte è scorrevole e fluida, la seconda (in particolare i capitoli riguardanti la visita di Maria Maddalena in Paradiso) si rivela più lenta e a mio parere troppo lunga, il che guasta un po' la lettura.
L’autrice ha fatto ricerche sulle sacre scritture del mondo per anni e i suoi sforzi hanno dato i loro frutti perché ha creato un’ottima opera. Inoltre, molte considerazioni fatte dai personaggi nel libro possono essere applicate anche oggi, in questo periodo in cui le persone sono divise più che mai e incapaci di scavare dentro di sé e di lavorare su loro stesse per guarire, evolvere e rendere il mondo un posto migliore.
Per tutti coloro che sono interessati e affascinati da Maria Maddalena, questo libro è sia una piacevole lettura sia un valido strumento per la crescita personale.
